PHP Developer - Hampshire - Salary £ 20k-30k per annum


About Us

Spicefly develop and support a custom unique ECommerce solution aimed at the Entrepreneurs and Small Business sector. Due to rapid expansion, we are looking to increase the size of our PHP development team.


Responsible for developing and enhancing (in PHP, JQuery and CSS) our industry-leading ECommerce solution. Specifically, the PHP Developer will be working in a team of 3x existing PHP developers to develop, extend and support.

Spicefly conform to Agile best practice, including specification, design, structured development, workflow applications, version control, security, quality assurance, unit testing and Project Management.

Spicefly is a team centric company and you will be expected to be multi-disciplined. You must have exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to getting things done on time and on budget.

You will be expected to also provide and assist with end user support resolution, technical analysis and resolution of problems. You must have fantastic listening skills and good written and verbal English communication skills, able to assist clients on the telephone and via EMail, taking responsibility for the problem and aiming to solve it right the first time!


To be considered for this role, you must have a degree (or equivalent) and commercial development and web programming experience.
- PHP5 (2 Years+)
- HTML5 (2 Years+)
- CSS3 (2 Years+)
- JavaScript, particularly jQuery (2 Years+)
- jQuery Mobile (2 Years+)

Experience in the following Git, MySQL, Cloud Infrastructure, Social Media Integration, Google Analytics and like Chickens

Additionally, you must possess excellent communication skills with first class written and spoken English, a passion for helping customers and enjoy working within a small team.

Due to the office location, candidates must be within a sensible commuting distance, have a driving licence and their own transport.
